Score!!

It’s the bottom of the ninth, the bases are loaded, and all that stands between you and victory is Indigo Knox. You need to hit just one of your rival’s wicked pitches and your team will advance to the next round and be one step closer to Nationals. Everyone’s counting on you. What do you do? 

Score!! is a Forged in the Dark game that lets you tell stories like your favorite sports anime, movies, and comics. Players take on the roles of young athletes trying to make it to the top by facing off against opponents in high-drama sports matches. Score!! is sport-neutral: any given group can choose to play a game about baseball players, a volleyball team, or even ultimate frisbee players. The actual sport matters as much as you want it to.

There are several types of athletes to choose from, each with their own strengths and challenges to face:

• The Ace is the anchor of the team dealing with the pressure that their position entails.
• The Heart is the emotional center of the team juggling all the hopes and dreams of their teammates alongside their own.
• The Natural is a prodigy figuring out how to be a good teammate in addition to a good athlete.
• The Punk is a braggart that pushes themselves to their limits and beyond in pursuit of victory.
• The Rookie is a newbie that shows a lot of potential but can't tap into it consistently.
• The Star is a hot-shot that has to balance personal glory against their relationships with their teammates.

The athletes are all part of the same team trying to make it to the top. However, different types of teams draw on distinct themes and subject matter. Currently there are three team playbooks available:

• The Rising Stars are an up-and-coming team. The playbook follows their first (and perhaps only) chance at stardom and the struggles that come with that climb.
• The Fallen Titans used to be a powerhouse in their own league and beyond, but aren’t any longer. However, this year is their time to make it back to the top. 
• The Reigning Champs are at the top of their game. Riding the high of winning last year's championship, they must now fend off those teams seeking the title for themselves.
